Jackson, TN
Jackson, Tennessee, located on I-40 in West Tennessee is also known as the "hub city", which comes from its proximity to seven surrounding counties. The residents from those seven counties travel to and from Jackson using Jackson as their hub to the many events, shopping, and other fun and interesting things to do in the area.
Memphis, TN is about an hours drive to the West on I-40, and Nashville is about a two hour drive East on I-40. The convenience of having two major metropolitan cities so close makes Jackson a very enticing place to live.
Jackson is home to about 65,000 folks, and also the home of many great events, like the NAIA Women's Championship Basketball Tournament, The Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant, and the Casey Jones Train Fest. Casey Jones Village, named after the legendary railroad pioneer is one of Tennessee's top 10 tourist attractions. Jackson also hosts Minor League Baseball with the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx, a AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners — and we are home to "Mr. Blue Suede Shoes", the late Carl Perkins.
